Diocesan Links

Religious wall and statue at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School in Flintshire

As a Catholic school we have strong links with Flint Catholic Church, the Church of the Immaculate Conception. We also work very closely with our Parish Priest, Fr. Adrian Wilcock who celebrates Mass in our school hall at the  beginning and end of every term. Parishioners also attend these Masses and they are always a joy and a real celebration.

During Sacramental topics in our Come and See work, our Diocesan Religious Education Programme, children visit Church and learn about the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist.

Staff also access Diocesan Inset Days and meetings to standardise work and share good practice.

We are very blest to have five Catholic Primary Schools in Flintshire who share a common bond and work closely with St. Richard Gwyn Catholic High School to develop strategies and raise standards…but also to support each other in any areas where there is a need. Transition work is a real strength of the schools and children attend retreats, Masses and Sports days with other Catholic Schools.
